“If we teach today as we taught yesterday, we rob our children of tomorrow.” — John Dewey
My name is Kyla T. Jeter, and I am currently a 2nd grade teacher in a rural public school district in South Carolina. This is my 10th year teaching, and I’ve always taught 2nd grade, and I’ve always taught in the same district. I graduated in 2006 from Winthrop University with a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education. I received my M.A.T. degree in Educational Technology from Webster University in 2010. I enjoy all things relating to Educational Technology, and in my spare time, I enjoy shopping, cooking, and spending time with my family. My future career goal is to become a full-time Educational Technology Instructional Coach/Specialist. The purpose of this blog is to serve as a portfolio of the different technology projects and/or lessons I am currently working on in my classroom, and to document my journey from classroom teacher to Technology Instructional Coach.
