In the midst of the hustle and bustle that accompanies the end of the school year, several teachers at my school decided that they wanted to create a teacher music video since that seems to be a trending topic in our neck of the woods. Many schools have tried it, but I must say that ours is by far the best!
For our video, we decided to remake Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off”. The music teacher at our school rewrote the song to capture teachers’ enthusiasm about summer break, and we renamed our version “Summertime’s Calling Me”. The entire faculty and staff at my school participated in the video and we all had a blast making it.
We posted our finished video to YouTube and it was a big hit in our local community! Everyone loved it, and it was even featured on “Your Carolina”, which is our local morning news show! Even though creating this video was a lot of work, it was so much fun and such a success that we can’t wait to do it again next year! I wonder what our next “big hit” will be? I’ll be sure to keep you posted.
