This year, we will be starting a new reading incentive program at our school. All the kids in our school will receive “punch cards” and they will receive a paw-shaped punch (since our school mascot is a panther) on the card each time they are “caught” reading.
We wanted to get all the students excited about participating in the new program, so since our “Summertime’s Calling Me” video was such a hit at the end of the school year last year (see previous post), we decided to create another video to play at our Reading Incentive Kick-Off Assembly. This video is not as elaborate as our last video, but we still had a lot of fun making it.
The new motto for our school district this year is “All-In” because we are “All-In”… for all kids… everyday… whatever it takes! The Literacy Coach and I decided to spin off of that idea to create the video. We recorded video messages from important people across our school, our school district, and throughout our local community to let students know that they were “All-In” for reading at our school.
So we’re “All-In” for reading at our school, the question is, “Are You”? Be sure to check out the video from our YouTube page posted below, and let me know what you think in the comments section.
